That's the way he learns and he needs more submissive group members and the rest of us are happy to have a leader reinforce the ideas. However earlier this semester we had invited another student who clashed with our guy b/c they wanted to lead and it just didn't work out. They got the boot. Good for you if your group helped, but I agree if you don't find the right fit, groups aren't very productive.Frazzled-Razzle-RNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10840442693927025940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4065537652305305479.post-73275834322252236202011-10-28T22:32:13.580-07:002011-10-28T22:32:13.580-07:00Ok I am disagreeing. Our second semester for A & P we added one more person & the three of us rocked it out. I'd say study groups should really be no larger than 4 people & those 4 people really need to be committed to learning. But really 3 is the ideal number and two works JUST fine.Candihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13995021996457640960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4065537652305305479.post-20965560310317022102011-10-27T14:38:26.001-07:002011-10-27T14:38:26.001-07:00ohh i hated study groups on school. and seriously...ohh i hated study groups on school. and seriously, it's always the least prepared person that tries to coordinate it. I think this only works if we have an agreement about how much socializing will happen and when. I find it immensely helpful to have someone to talk through some of the difficult concepts but, like you, want to avoid the social event that is the study group.MamaDoodlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07775062333048171808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4065537652305305479.post-32017111856476754202011-10-25T15:36:21.112-07:002011-10-25T15:36:21.112-07:00Study groups, imo, are similar to the individual w...Study groups, imo, are similar to the individual who is failing the course and failing to do the homework asking, "Can I study with you?"<br /><br />um. no.<br /><br />Still perfecting my non-response.A Doc 2 Behttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10310878304648897210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4065537652305305479.post-62741803796740053062011-10-25T11:25:54.278-07:002011-10-25T11:25:54.278-07:00Yeah, I hear that.
