Quit my job last week after deciding to become a nurse practitioner. This journey will take about four years, but I didn't have any plans anyway. I'll finish the one class I'm taking now in September, then start full-time in October.

It just came to that point. I was hating floor nursing, and actually became fearful of my license at the last place I worked. If I can squeeze through this without doing any floor nursing over the next few years, well it will suit me just fine.

Good luck on your journey to becoming a NP. I was hating the floor nursing as well and I knew going into nursing that I wanted to be a NP from the start. I love my job! Hang in there. Thanks for the link!
